Look for the Union Label.. (then buy something else.)
How bad am I suppose to feel for American auto manufacturers and the UAW? Unions have destroyed the auto industry by forcing unreasonable demands and outrageous expenses upon them.
Unions produce no tangible product. They prohibit members from being individuals, artificially inflate the cost of labor and they cause industries to fail. It’s extortion sanctioned by the politicians they bribe.
Now, the UAW membership want me to pity them and pay for their mess. The compensation packages forced on auto companies broke the entire industry. Now I’m suppose to pick up the tab? Fund the lives of people who were paid 4 or 5 times the market value for their labor?
Mr. and Mrs. UAW Member have been compensated at a ridiculous rate. For crying out loud.. it’s an assembly line job. What’s it take, two – three days to learn how to turn that bolt? The grill cook at Denny’s has a more challenging job.
The whole scheme results in an artificially high price for a new automobile. A disproportionate amount of the car’s selling price comes from inflated labor costs. The real value of a new car is simply not worth what they’ve been sold for.
The whole scheme worked until the credit industry came tumbling down. Credit gone crazy made people not worry about the price of a new car.. just what the monthly payment would be. It created the perfect atmosphere to sell new autos for more than they were worth.
Then credit dries up and people stop buying new, overvalued cars.
UAW contracts made it impossible for the automakers to do what companies must do when their sales are down.. cut costs or fail.
UAW political contributions (bribes) caused politicians to declare the American auto industry “too big to fail”. All good dogs protect the hand that feeds them. That declaration is suppose to justify moving billions of dollars from taxpayer pockets to the coffers of the UAW.
Make no mistake, the bailout has nothing to do with saving the auto industry and everything to do with paying off the UAW and keeping them campaign dollars rolling in.

Really</a> - President Obama reveals that the stimulus is a two year plan. I read that as meaning you won't see any good of it until 2010. Hmm. That's just about the time Americans will be heading out to vote. How convenient.

So the Chosen One bailed out Chrysler and they are in bankruptcy anyway. How much did that cost? The media will never hold BHO’s feet to the fire over this though. The ultimate objective was in fact to pay off the UAW. Unfortunately, there isn’t that much more money available.
The Leader will then try to get private money to prop up UAW. This will fail, too. Nobody that cares about his/her investment would give a dime to an organization run by Obama and the UAW.
