President Obama reveals that the stimulus is a two year plan. I read that as meaning you won’t see any good of it until 2010. Hmm. That’s just about the time Americans will be heading out to vote. How convenient.

Money to burn

Your money will finance the Democrats 2010 campaign to retain control of the House and Senate.

His scheme has a very good chance of success.

Right now, the Left is in complete control of the economy. They own banking, finance, energy and good portion of our industrial base. They are in a position to make the economy do about anything they want. I know.. Scary ain’t it.

Cap and Trade along with Health Care legislation is a heartbeat away from completely changing the way America does business. It’s impossible for business owners to make sound decisions in this climate. There’s just too many unknowns.

Invest in machines and equipment that may be outlawed in a few months? Build a factory that may need to be retrofitted with costly “green” features yet to be determined? Hire employees with no idea of what their health care insurance responsibilities will be? Commit precious capital not knowing what your new tax burden will be?

These days, business owners are just trying to survive. In this climate, new jobs will not be coming along anytime soon. The Left has America right where they want it. Broke, in crisis and panicked.

Which brings us to that Two Year Plan….

Let’s take a peak at the future. Congress plans to work out the details on controversial legislation by the end of this year. Whatever becomes of Cap and Trade and Health Care, American business will find a way to adapt. It’s what American companies do. The economy will begin to recover the moment the massive impact of these bills become a known factor.

By then, unemployment could very well be at unimaginable numbers across America. I would bet that sometime around early Spring of 2010, we’ll see job numbers significantly improve. By the Fall, even those still unemployed will feel hope that things are changing for the better. (Ahh.. Good old Hope and Change).

Collectively, we Americans have a short-term memory. The Democrats are counting on the fact that a significant portion of voters will forget all about the economic damage being done today. And they will. Those voters will see things as getting better and the Dems will be right there to accept responsibility for it.

Watch as politicians campaign on how courageous and wise they were in voting for the stimulus package. Watch as they drive home the idea that your brand new job was made possible by them. Oh yea.. and those that opposed the stimulus will be portrayed as the evil ones trying hold you down. You’ll be encourage to forget all about the massive debt this re-election scheme has caused.

It doesn’t end there….

Things will be better, but don’t expect things to get too rosy in 2010. Obama will still need a certain level of pain and misery to ensure his re-election in 2012. I predict that to be about the time inflation kicks in full force. Fear not! I’m sure the Left has some feel-good, 2-year-plan-type legislation waiting in the wings.

Is this some crazy conspiracy?

Nope. It’s what I believe to be a key part of the Democrat’s re-election strategy. It’s what you get when you elect a president that only knows how to run for office. It’s what you get when you allow the government too much control. It’s what you get when you invite government in to solve your problems.

Will Obama&Co. get away with it?

Only if we let them.

JULY 19th THROUGH THE END OF THE MONTH

. McDONALD’S has teamed up with La Raza to force tax paying Americans pay for illegal immigrant health care insurance. This outrage would reward an estimated 22+ million outlaws with “free” health care.

At the end of April, La Raza made an interesting little announcement:

So I sent McDonald’s an email:

My job finds me traveling all over central Indiana on a daily basis. On any given day, I can be counted on for one or two stops at one of your restaurants.

That will stop as of now because of your decision to sponsor this year’s National Council of La Raza annual conference.

The NCLR’s close work with Senator Mendendez to have illegal immigrants covered in the administration’s health care reform is an attempt to reward criminals. It’s not only wrong, but it is unfair to legal, tax-paying Americans.

I will not hand over my hard earned money to help you support such a cause. In addition, I am doing all in my power to spread the word of your support and affiliation with NCLR. I am encouraging everyone I can to join me in avoiding your establishments.

I was a little upset when I wrote the email. Today, I heard back from them. Now I’m pissed.

In a June 26 press release WWF celebrates the House passing Cap and Tax while revealing the legislation does not go far enough.

• Contact Your State Senators
  Tell them to oppose Cap and Trade. Remind them that they work for you. Don’t assume they’ll defeat the bill.. Demand that they defeat Cap and Tax. Don’t assume someone else will contact them for you.. You make the contact.

  If your Senator is on the right side of this issue, thank them and implore them to take an active stand on the issue. We need more than just a vote.. we need pro-active involvement in defeating Cap and Trade once and for all.

  Should your Senator be on the wrong side, make your case and continue to “blow up” his lines of communication. Actively support his or her removal from office.

• Pressure Corporate Cap&Trade Sponsors
  These businesses are lobbying your senator to pass cap and trade. Let them know you refuse to buy their products. Find alternatives. Plaster their names all over the place associating them with the damage Cap and Trade will do to our country, your job and your money.

  Pressure them into LOUDLY withdrawing their support of Cap and Trade. Refuse to buy their products and tell them why!

  Expose those who are in line to profit from this legislation. Some of these sponsors stand to gain BIG PROFITS from all that money Tax and Trade takes away from YOU.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re aware that the words coming from Obama’s mouth are meaningless. He can tell you to go to hell in such a way that you’ll be looking forward to the ride. Some call it tact and sophistication. Truth is, he represents one big lie after another.

Under Obama’s Cap and Trade plan, heating your home will cost 2-3 grand more every year. The cost of producing American made goods will skyrocket.. which means the price you pay for those goods will also dramatically increase.

That extra cost will not be going to save or create jobs.. it will be confiscated by the the government and divided up among political cronies.

It won’t just be the wealthy paying this tax.. everyone will be paying.

You’ll be paying it along with the gas/electric bill. When you gas up your car… when your place of business closes its doors because it cannot afford to comply with insane government mandates.

Keep in mind that all this is brought to you by the scientific THEORY of global warming. A theory put together by people who can’t accurately predict what the weather will be like hours from now. When you hear somebody speak of Green energy or Green jobs.. that means somebody’s gonna take Green dollars out of your pocket and put it in theirs.

Congress just passed, narrowly, their version of Obama’s green vision. Once again, legislation was pushed through in a hurry. There is no way representatives read the bill.. there was not enough time. Those voting ‘yes’ ignored the will of the people they represent. Cap and Trade gives another Obama bureaucrat unbridled access to your wallet.

America’s last hope is that the Senate can squash Cap and Trade legislation. Please let your Senator know that they work for you and that you want no part of Cap and Trade. Stop these idiots from destroying our country.

Never underestimate the American entrepreneurial spirit. Bureaucrats plan to take all the “good stuff” out of tobacco.. because government knows what’s best for you. FDA approved tobacco will not satisfy smokers.

But we are American’s with a history of adapting to and overcoming such nonsense. The prohibition on alcohol spawned job opportunities such as bathtub gin, whiskey runners, speakeasy’s and countless other tax-exempt cottage industries. And that’s not to mention the revenuers that will be needed to enforce the laws… and accept bribes.

The bootleggers, as of today are gearing up. There will be cigarette factories in every city, every town, and every hamlet manufacturing cigarettes with enough nicotine in them to satisfy the smoker. And they will sell like candy! Bootleggers stand to make a fortune… tax-free. And, like the original prohibition, the general public will be pulling for the bootleggers.

ABC refuses to allow opposing views on the President’s scheme for our health care. They won’t even allow paid advertisements on the issue.

Government has no business taking over such a personal part of your life. Change is needed in the health care industry, but the change being offered by Obama and Company is not the answer.

If ABC practiced journalism, they would tell both sides of the issue. But they agree with Obama on this one. We ain’t smart enough to manage ourselves. We need the gov’ment to run our lives.

Do you really want some bureaucrat in Washington making life or death medical decisions for you? What drugs and treatments your doctor may or may not prescribe? When or even if you can see your doctor? Do you really want Uncle Sam to know every detail about your personal life? Dictate what you may eat. When and how you must exercise? Limit your freedom to participate in activities that “they” determine to be too risky?

Oh, don’t think it won’t come to this kind of intrusion. The rules of government have changed. They’ve shown us that if they use our money to pay for it.. they will control every detail.

Obama’s minions are meeting across America to hit the streets trying to gain support for health care reform that is destined to destroy yet another American institution. Be prepared to oppose the propaganda they deliver.

Does the current system need reform? Yes it does. It needs the government to remove itself and the asinine regulations that prevent fair, free market competition. Like magic, the cost of health care and insurance would become affordable.

Rep James Oberstar,  Minnesota Democrat,  has managed to sneak a provision into legislation passed on May 21 that’s designed to put FedEx out of business.

…But, in short, UPS lobbyists have buried a short 230-word legislative bailout deep inside the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2009. It’s worth billions to “Big Brown” at the expense of our economy which thrives on next-day commerce, competitive shipping options and ready access to markets around the world. Essentially, Big Brown wants to force the world’s most efficient airline to operate under outdated trucking rules.

Another victory for Indiana Treasurer Richard Mourdock and America.

The Supreme Court on Monday granted an emergency appeal asking it to halt the impending government-backed sale of Chrysler to Italian automaker Fiat.

The order stops for now Chrysler’s sale, which the company claims could scuttle the deal.

Obama’s attempt to ignore the law hits another bump. This temporary stay offers a ray of hope. It’s anyone’s guess right now what happens next. Hopefully, the Supreme Court will agree to take up the case and put a stop to this administration’s complete disregard for contract law.

Specifically, the case deals with two issues. First, is the unprecedented manner in which unsecured interests (the UAW) are given preferential treatment. Secondly is the legality of how TARP funds are being used in the deal.
