OBAMA: “The Stimulus is a Two Year Plan”.. Really

Posted by: Larry

President Obama reveals that the stimulus is a two year plan. I read that as meaning you won’t see any good of it until 2010. Hmm. That’s just about the time Americans will be heading out to vote. How convenient.

Money to burn

Money to burn

Your money will finance the Democrats 2010 campaign to retain control of the House and Senate.

His scheme has a very good chance of success.

Right now, the Left is in complete control of the economy. They own banking, finance, energy and good portion of our industrial base. They are in a position to make the economy do about anything they want. I know.. Scary ain’t it.

Cap and Trade along with Health Care legislation is a heartbeat away from completely changing the way America does business. It’s impossible for business owners to make sound decisions in this climate. There’s just too many unknowns.

Invest in machines and equipment that may be outlawed in a few months? Build a factory that may need to be retrofitted with costly “green” features yet to be determined? Hire employees with no idea of what their health care insurance responsibilities will be? Commit precious capital not knowing what your new tax burden will be?

These days, business owners are just trying to survive. In this climate, new jobs will not be coming along anytime soon. The Left has America right where they want it. Broke, in crisis and panicked.

Which brings us to that Two Year Plan….

Let’s take a peak at the future. Congress plans to work out the details on controversial legislation by the end of this year. Whatever becomes of Cap and Trade and Health Care, American business will find a way to adapt. It’s what American companies do. The economy will begin to recover the moment the massive impact of these bills become a known factor.

By then, unemployment could very well be at unimaginable numbers across America. I would bet that sometime around early Spring of 2010, we’ll see job numbers significantly improve. By the Fall, even those still unemployed will feel hope that things are changing for the better. (Ahh.. Good old Hope and Change).

Collectively, we Americans have a short-term memory. The Democrats are counting on the fact that a significant portion of voters will forget all about the economic damage being done today. And they will. Those voters will see things as getting better and the Dems will be right there to accept responsibility for it.

Watch as politicians campaign on how courageous and wise they were in voting for the stimulus package. Watch as they drive home the idea that your brand new job was made possible by them. Oh yea.. and those that opposed the stimulus will be portrayed as the evil ones trying hold you down. You’ll be encourage to forget all about the massive debt this re-election scheme has caused.

It doesn’t end there….

Things will be better, but don’t expect things to get too rosy in 2010. Obama will still need a certain level of pain and misery to ensure his re-election in 2012. I predict that to be about the time inflation kicks in full force. Fear not! I’m sure the Left has some feel-good, 2-year-plan-type legislation waiting in the wings.

Is this some crazy conspiracy?

Nope. It’s what I believe to be a key part of the Democrat’s re-election strategy. It’s what you get when you elect a president that only knows how to run for office. It’s what you get when you allow the government too much control. It’s what you get when you invite government in to solve your problems.

Will Obama&Co. get away with it?

Only if we let them.

Stop Cap and Trade with your Wallet

Posted by: Numberone

Money talks. It’s now up to the U.S. Senate to stop Cap and Trade. While many say it will never pass, we cannot afford to take that chance. Cap and Trade will destroy lives and drive the final nail into our “free market” economy. This is war and the enemy is strong.

Your senator may not listen to what you have to say. Senators have a way of ignoring the will of the people. But, the corporate sponsors of Cap and Trade can be made to listen. They depend on you and I buying their products. We have the power to squeeze them into submission.

Who are the corporate sponsors putting pressure on the Senate? Would you believe the likes of Nike, Levi Strauss & Co., Johnson and Johnson….?

In AN OPEN LETTER TO THE SENATE submitted on behalf of World Wildlife Fund (WWF) member corporations:

Through our support, we wish to make clear to the American public and their elected officials that leading voices in the business community believe it is in our interests for the US to address climate change. By passing cap-and-trade legislation, the US will join in the market approach adopted by much of the world and enable the emergence of truly global carbon markets. The Senate will also signal to the world our willingness to engage on this issue, laying the groundwork for a global agreement on climate change.

In a June 26 press release WWF celebrates the House passing Cap and Tax while revealing the legislation does not go far enough.

“This bill is not everything we need, but it is a critical starting point, at a crucial time,” said WWF President and CEO Carter Roberts.

IT’S TIME TO ACT AND IT’S TIME TO ACT UP!

  • Contact Your State Senators
Tell them to oppose Cap and Trade. Remind them that they work for you. Don’t assume they’ll defeat the bill.. Demand that they defeat Cap and Tax. Don’t assume someone else will contact them for you.. You make the contact.

If your Senator is on the right side of this issue, thank them and implore them to take an active stand on the issue. We need more than just a vote.. we need pro-active involvement in defeating Cap and Trade once and for all.

Should your Senator be on the wrong side, make your case and continue to “blow up” his lines of communication. Actively support his or her removal from office.

  • Pressure Corporate Cap&Trade Sponsors
These businesses are lobbying your senator to pass cap and trade. Let them know you refuse to buy their products. Find alternatives. Plaster their names all over the place associating them with the damage Cap and Trade will do to our country, your job and your money.

Pressure them into LOUDLY withdrawing their support of Cap and Trade. Refuse to buy their products and tell them why!

Expose those who are in line to profit from this legislation. Some of these sponsors stand to gain BIG PROFITS from all that money Tax and Trade takes away from YOU.

Boycott products sold by Cap and Trade supporters and let everyone know why. Follow the links to these Cap and Trade Corporate Sponsors for contact information as well as a detailed listing of product brand names.

Organizations like the WWF are hell-bent on controlling the planet. They’ll stop at nothing to push their agenda onto you. They can only succeed if you let them. It is the WWF and THE CORPORATIONS LISTED ABOVE who say:

Passage of effective cap-and-trade legislation in the U.S. Congress is a top priority for our corporations.

It’s time these destructive forces are exposed and defeated. America belongs to us.. not the special interests. Fight back now while you’re still allowed to speak. Stop feeding the enemy. BOYCOTT THE SPONSORS OF CAP AND TAX!

Please share this information with your fellow Americans.

Posted by: Larry

Good Lord.

The Supreme Court denied Indiana pensioners’ bid to block the government-backed sale of Chrysler to Italian automaker Fiat Tuesday evening.

via The Hill’s Blog Briefing Room » Supreme Court lifts stay on Fiat-Chrysler deal.

They couldn’t even put their names to it. A per curiam decision. Anonymously.

Well America.. get ready. The door is wide open and nobody can stop the madman obama.

Today is the day that American Capitalism died.

Obama Sticks it To Indiana Teachers, Police Officers

Posted by: Larry

The Obama thugs decided that the rules of bankruptcy needed to be “adjusted” to help out with the UAW bailout. It should be no surprise. After all, seizing personal property for redistribution is the ultimate goal of both the UAW and Obama.

Enter Indiana Treasurer, Richard Mourdock who has filed an objection to protect the property rights of Indiana teachers and police officers.

Indiana was the sole creditor to file objections with the court (PDF can be found here.)

As stated in the filings, the US Treasury Task Force is seeking to use the Chrysler bankruptcy to extinguish
the property rights of the pension funds as secured lenders, violating the most fundamental tenets of creditor
rights in disregard of widely recognized bankruptcy jurisprudence. The proposed restructuring of
stakeholders’ rights seeks to make payments of billions of dollars to unsecured creditors, while paying the
secured creditors only 29 cents on the dollar.

“As fiduciaries, we can’t allow our retired police officers and teachers to be ripped off by the federal
government. The Indiana state funds suffered losses when the Obama administration overturned more than
100 years of established law by redefining ‘secured creditors’ to mean something less,” explained Treasurer
Richard Mourdock. “The court filing is aimed not only at recouping those losses but also reasserting the rule
of law and preventing the federal government from pursuing policies that strike at the heart of the capital
system.”

Treasurer Mourdock will not allow portfolios under his
control to make additional investments in businesses that are receiving or will be receiving federal bailout money.

Good move.

Look for the Union Label.. (then buy something else.)

Posted by: Larry

How bad am I suppose to feel for American auto manufacturers and the UAW? Unions have destroyed the auto industry by forcing unreasonable demands and outrageous expenses upon them.

Unions produce no tangible product. They prohibit members from being individuals, artificially inflate the cost of labor and they cause industries to fail. It’s extortion sanctioned by the politicians they bribe. Continue reading

Class Warfare.. Divide and Conquer

Posted by: Larry

Listen to the message coming out of Washington and you’ll start to believe that you’re surrounded by people out to destroy you and your country. Pundits, politicians and those in the media have got to be enjoying this whole class warfare thing that they’re instigating.

All of your economic problems are caused by either the greedy, evil rich or the lazy, “gimmie-something-for-nothing” poor. No matter what your “social standing”, you are a victim. This distraction gives the real enemies of freedom the chance to do about anything they wish. Continue reading

The Bright Side of a Bad Economy

Posted by: Larry

If this sounds a bit smug, well… too bad. But for me, things couldn’t be better at work right now. Oh times are tough and profits are down. A raise is probably not in the immediate future and my job could disappear tomorrow. But for now, things are great and I owe it all to the current economic condition.

With people not buying as much, the guy that owns our shop was able to downsize the staff. Thankfully, we’re not a union shop so seniority didn’t come into play. Nope. The owner was able to downsize by simply getting rid of the folks that failed to contribute to the company’s success. He decided that this ain’t the place to come to for a free ride. Continue reading
