Lost in the Land of Twitter…
My head hurts. At some point yesterday, I had the bright idea of jumping on the twitter bandwagon.
I have no idea why.
I have no idea what I’m doing there.
So I’m trying to get things set up and run across #iranelection. I became glued to the messages coming in. Many of the tweets claimed to be from the streets of Iran, posted by those protesting the elections.
OK, there was a lot of noise and senseless (to this newbie anyway) comments. The skeptic in me says that a few of the tweets came from little Billy Smith sitting in his Davenport, Iowa basement claiming to be in middle of the battle.
But, many of the tweets describing the chaos seemed to be legitimate. Passion and fear have a way of coming through.
What I saw was raw, unfiltered opinion and real time accounts of a major world event. I have a hard time pulling myself away and doing the things I should be doing. Just what I need, another addiction.
Well, I still don’t have a clue about setting up or using twitter… or proper twitequete. I am determined to figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.
